It is now known that the Hand and Foot Yin and Yang are the residence of pain.
Ordinarily, in treating illness we must first remove the blood and only then will we clear the channel of the pain.
Scrutinize the channel’s needs and after that, purge what is in excess or tonify what has deficiency.

If you wish to understand the back Shu:
First measure the distance between the patient’s two nipples and fold the measurement in half. Even better, one can use a piece of grass to measure and then break it in half, doing this by making the two ends meet each other and then folding it down. After this, you can use it to measure the person’s back, having them lie down and then placing the corner at the top, parallel to the spine at Da Zhu, then spreading the two ends to be below that, and where those two ends lie is where the Shu point of the Lung can be found.

Repeating below this measurement is the Shu point of the Heart.
Repeating below that measurement, the left corner will be the Shu point of the Liver and the right corner will be the Shu point of the Spleen.
Repeating below these measurements is the Shu point of the Kidney.
These are the Shu points of the Five Zang and the measurements for moxabustion and acupuncture.
