Just Talking and Talking. Sometimes About Chinese Medicine.

Hexagram 19: 臨 Lin

The inner trigram is “lake” while the outer trigram is “earth.” Hexagram 19 is often translated as “The Approach.” Overall, this hexagram holds the idea of progress and the coming of Spring. The Yang forces slowly started to enter the world once again (at GB time) and now they are here with momentum. This is a time of determination and perseverance.
At this time, the heavenly energy which has been cultivated inside the seed is almost ready to burst out. The material world, which was sleeping, is once again resorbing the energy necessary for it’s movement.
The Liver has an association to this time in which Heaven begins to push on Nature. The Gallbladder walked out of the cave, in front of the Liver, and made sure that everything was in place, and now the Liver has arrived, fully ready to start the process of Nature breaking free and flowing into the world.
