Just Talking and Talking. Sometimes About Chinese Medicine.

The State of Zheng 鄭

Zheng was a city-state in the middle of ancient China. At the time that the Spring and Autumn period began, it was one of the strongest states in existence. However, because of it’s central position, it was limited in the amount of growth that could take place.
Zheng was known for being one of the wealthiest states and it’s ability to bribe itself out of almost any situation.
The character for this state is composed of the character with alcohol and flag, both of these things meaning an established thing of some sort. The character for alcohol is the same as that for the earthly branch, you, that goes with the Kidney. This can be seen as a symbol of the fermenting processes.
